Why Neurogarden
The practical advantages of studying here.
What separates a course you finish from one you abandon is usually structure, pacing, and whether the content connects to work you actually do. Here's how Neurogarden approaches each of those.

Six things that shape the experience
Practitioner-written curriculum
Every course module is written by someone who uses the same tools professionally. The examples are drawn from real analytical work, not invented scenarios.
- Updated before each cohort
- Reviewed against current tooling
- No generic theory-only modules
Weekly structure that fits work life
Each week has a predictable shape: a recorded lecture, a live walkthrough, and a practice notebook. You know what's coming and can plan your study around existing obligations.
- Recorded lectures on demand
- Live sessions also recorded
- Six to eight hours per week typical
Projects you own fully
Final projects are designed and built by the participant. Neurogarden holds no rights over participant work. What you build in the programme stays with you.
- Self-directed topic selection
- Full intellectual property retained
- Portfolio-ready output
One-to-one mentor pairing
The yearlong programme pairs each participant with a senior practitioner for monthly calls. This is not a support ticket system — it's a thinking partner who follows your study arc from start to finish.
- Same mentor throughout the year
- Monthly video calls
- Project-focused guidance
Transparent pricing in RM
All programme fees are published openly in Malaysian Ringgit. There are no tiers, no add-ons required mid-course, and no separate charges for live session access.
- RM 540 · RM 1,520 · RM 2,820
- No hidden fees
- Quarterly payment option available
A coherent learning path
The three programmes form a connected sequence. Foundations provides the base. The NLP track builds on it. The yearlong programme integrates both into a sustained year of applied engineering study.
- Each level stands alone or connects
- External backgrounds accepted for NLP
- No forced bundling
Expertise
Instructors who work with these tools today
Data science and AI tooling changes quickly. A curriculum written two years ago may still use deprecated libraries or workflows that practitioners no longer follow. At Neurogarden, course authors are active in the field. When a better approach emerges, it finds its way into the material before the next cohort starts.
The team brings backgrounds in financial data analysis, NLP research, and AI infrastructure. That spread means participants get perspectives on the same techniques from different application domains.
What this means in practice
- Code examples use current library versions
- Lectures reference real data challenges, not toy problems
- Live sessions include current practitioner perspective
- Module content reviewed against current tools before each cohort
Tools covered across programmes
- Python 3 · pandas · scikit-learn
- Open-source language models and Hugging Face ecosystem
- Retrieval-augmented generation patterns
- Prompt engineering and evaluation frameworks
Tools & Methods
Modern AI tooling, not just theory
Programmes are structured around tools and methods that participants can put to use immediately. The Foundations course builds Python and pandas fluency alongside statistical reasoning. The NLP track moves into the practical end of the LLM ecosystem — embedding models, retrieval pipelines, and evaluation.
Each week's practice notebook is a working script, not a multiple-choice quiz. Participants leave with code they've written, not just notes they've read.
Pricing & Value
Straightforward fees for serious study
The three Neurogarden programmes are priced to reflect their depth and duration — RM 540 for the ten-week Foundations course, RM 1,520 for the NLP and LLM track, and RM 2,820 for the twelve-month yearlong programme. All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit and include access to all course materials, live sessions, recordings, and practice notebooks.
For the yearlong programme, a quarterly payment option may be available on request. There are no additional charges for the mentor pairing or for access to cohort communication channels.
What's included in the fee
- All recorded lectures and materials
- Weekly live walkthrough sessions
- Practice notebooks for each week
- Mentor pairing (yearlong programme)
- Course completion record on project submission

What Sets Us Apart
Things you won't find easily elsewhere
Malaysia-located, Southeast Asia-aware
Neurogarden is based in Petaling Jaya and teaches in English to participants across the region. The school understands the professional context its participants come from — industries, working patterns, and data environments that differ from courses designed for North American or European audiences.
Completion record on actual work submitted
The completion record issued at the end of Foundations and the NLP track requires the participant to have submitted their practice notebooks and final project. It's not issued for watching videos. This means the record reflects something the participant actually did.
Pace designed around retention, not throughput
Ten weeks for Foundations is deliberate. Cramming data science into four weeks produces familiarity, not understanding. The school's pace is set to allow ideas to settle and be practiced before the next concept is introduced.
Open-source model focus in NLP track
The NLP and LLM track teaches participants to work with openly available models, not just API wrappers around commercial LLMs. This produces transferable skills that don't depend on a single vendor's pricing decisions.
