Things people ask before enrolling
Do I need a data science background to join the Foundations course?
Basic Python familiarity is expected. If you've written simple scripts or followed a short Python tutorial before, that's enough. You don't need prior data science experience — the course builds those skills from the ground up.
How much time should I set aside each week?
Most participants put in six to eight hours per week — lecture viewing, the live walkthrough session, and working through the practice notebook. The yearlong programme has a similar weekly load spread across twelve months.
Are the live sessions recorded if I cannot attend?
Yes. All live walkthrough sessions are recorded and made available to enrolled participants within 24 hours. The recordings stay accessible for the full duration of your programme.
What do I receive at the end of the Foundations or NLP track?
Participants who submit their practice notebooks and final project receive a course completion record from Neurogarden. This is an educational completion document, not a regulated qualification or professional certification.
Can I join the NLP and LLM track without completing the Foundations course here?
Yes. If you have equivalent self-study in Python, pandas, and basic statistics, you can join the intermediate track directly. We ask that you describe your background when you enquire so we can let you know whether the pace will suit you.
What is the payment process for programmes in Malaysia?
Payment is in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). We accept online bank transfer and major credit or debit cards. Details are shared after you enquire and confirm your place. The yearlong programme may have an option for quarterly payment — ask us when you get in touch.
How does the mentor pairing in the yearlong programme work?
At the start of the programme you are matched with a senior practitioner. You meet monthly via video call to review your project progress, discuss reading, and work through any areas where you feel stuck. The mentor is not a tutor for coursework assignments — they're a thinking partner for your longer study arc.
